Laboratory
Effective health care is based on medical evidence and the McDonald Army Health Center laboratory performs the tests which provide much of that evidence that ensure your good health, or find the problems that threaten it. From initial sample to final result, the McDonald Army Health Center lab provides caregivers medical information that supports your health.
Services Offered
Laboratory Services offers a variety of in-house and referral testing for eligible beneficiaries. For fasting lab work, patients should drink plenty of water (to stay hydrated) and refrain from eating 10-12 hours prior to having labs collected.
Access to Care
Laboratory services are offered to all eligible beneficiaries who have electronic or written requests for labs by their provider. Lab results are electronically sent to in-network providers and automatically faxed to the requesting civilian provider, when they are completed.
Appointments
Laboratory services are walk-in (no appointments necessary, providing there is an electronic or written lab request).
