Laboratory
Effective health care is based on medical evidence and the McDonald Army Health Center laboratory performs the tests which provide much of that evidence that ensure your good health, or find the problems that threaten it. From initial sample to final result, the McDonald Army Health Center lab provides caregivers medical information that supports your health.
Services Provided
We offer the following services:
- Walk-in Blood Draw (7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
- Specimen Drop-off continues until 4:00 p.m.
- Rapid Flu Identifications
- Pregnancy Testing
- Kidney Function Test
- Liver Function Test
- Diabetes Monitoring
- Bleeding Times
- Fasting Labs
For fasting lab work, patients should drink plenty of water (to stay hydrated) and refrain from eating 10-12 hours prior to having labs collected. You may continue to take any prescribed medications.

Semen Analysis
Patients presenting for semen analysis should first call LabCorp to schedule their appointment at 757-361-6108, before presenting to the laboratory with their specimen.
Referrals for Lab Services We Don’t Provide
Our laboratory does not collect blood for transfusion related services. Patients requiring inpatient services will be referred to within the network
